I'm Max, a UK-based Magic: The Gathering content creator and programmer, and I'm Magic's resident Mad Scientist. This is where I take an overambitious Magic idea and actually build it. Weird Things You Can Do In Magic: The Gathering, my Year of Magic series, Magic Online (MTGO), props, jokes that probably went a bit far, and cosplay I fully commit to. If you like your MTG fandom done big and a little theatrical, you're in the right place.

What I make

  • Some of the best Magic-adjacent content around, like my Battle of Wits quiz series, with the Legondary series (starting with Nicol Bolas as a Lego build) on the way.
  • Projects I see through. I get an idea and I don't really stop until it exists in the real world.
  • Cosplay of some of MTG's best characters, Karn and Tezzeret included.
  • Magic archival work, preserving MTG history through projects like Ormos and Pointed Discussion.

Cosplay

Cosplay is the part I go hardest on. Karn is all giant planeswalker presence. Tezzeret is the sharp, artifact-obsessed villain I enjoy playing far too much. Between the two you get a decent sense of what I'm after: big builds, characters people actually recognise, and no half measures on the presentation.
