Part 5 of my *Weird Things You Can Do in Magic: The Gathering* series goes
Commander, with a combo whose goal is not to win but to reach a perfectly
absurd end state.

## The goal

By the end of this line I control no permanents, hold no cards, have an empty
library, and nothing in exile. All 100 cards of my Commander deck sit in the
command zone at once. That is the whole point: total, useless perfection.

## How it works

With Vadrok, Apex of Thunder as my commander, I make infinite mana and draw my
deck, then chain a long sequence of pieces including Claws of Gix, Dream Trawler, Epitaph Golem, Mastery of the Unseen,
Emergence Zone, Saheeli's Artistry, Leadership Vacuum, and Narset's Reversal.
Manifesting the library and repeatedly mutating Vadrok lets me bounce cards to
the command zone over and over. It costs a little over 9,000 mana, most of it
commander tax that Magic Online refuses to auto-pay, so there is an
extraordinary amount of clicking involved.

Credit for the idea goes to Reddit user skycopter and the badMTG combo
subreddit. If you feel sorry for all that clicking, maybe share it with a
friend.
